Set to contend in the Mazda MX-5 Cup Presented by BFGoodrich® Tires, Mars will be an instant threat for both Rookie of the Year honors and the series championship as he looks to make a major splash in his move from karts to cars.

Racing karts since the age of four, the now 16-year-old Joey Atanasio is set to join Copeland Motorsports in 2021. Confirmed to compete in the Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich® Tires, Atanasio will kick off his season at the famed Daytona International Speedway alongside 2019 series champion and teammate Bryan Ortiz.

Former Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich® Tires Champion and Copeland Motorsports driver Bryan Ortiz is making his return to the paddock in 2021. In news that was kept under wraps for quite some time, Copeland Motorsports is pleased to confirm Bella Racing Driver Bryan Ortiz back for another shot at the series championship.

Bryan Hixon, sole owner of Hixon Motor Sports (HMS), returns to the 2021 Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich® Tires championship with a long-term multi-car initiative. Hixon competed a full 2020 season alongside teammate Justin Piscitell who earned the team a podium finish at the 2020 season finale at the St. Petersburg Grand Prix. Under his motto, Carpe Somnium, “seize the dream,” Hixon proudly announces past Mazda scholarship winner Selin Rollan and Savanna Little, who recently earned the first Mazda female scholarship to the HMS driver lineup.

Hixon Motor Sports proudly announces Selin Rollan to their driver lineup at Daytona International Speedway during the Rolex 24 Hour weekend for the 2021 Global MX-5 Cup Presented by BFGoodrich® Tires championship. Rollan closed out the 2020 season securing third place in the championship. A series favorite, Rollan brings extensive experience and value to Hixon Motor Sports.
