Woody Heimann, a synonymous name with JTR Motorsports, will return to the team for a sixth consecutive season in 2026, continuing a long-standing partnership in the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup championship. Heimann will compete behind the wheel of the #82 JTR Motorsports–prepared Mazda as he looks ahead to a full and competitive 2026 campaign.

JTR Motorsports is pleased to announce that 18-year-old Justin Gravett is now confirmed for their 2026 Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup campaign. With the season opening later this month at Daytona International Speedway, Gravett will drive the #8 Tunnel to Towers entry and will also receive support from additional partnership programs.

The penultimate race weekend in the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by Michelin is upon us. With just four races to go in the single-make series, the stakes for BSI Racing could not be higher as the team takes on Virginia International Raceway in Alton, Virginia.

AAG Racing announced today that Alejandro Gutierrez and primary partner Voltedge will join the team’s driver lineup for Rounds 11 and 12 of the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by Michelin at Virginia International Raceway (VIR), Aug. 22–24. The 22-year-old driver will make his series debut.
