Racer, YouTuber and founder of Genius Garage Casey Putsch had the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a Global Mazda MX-5 Cup car prior to Rounds Five and Six at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. He captured his experience in two videos posted to his popular YouTube channel.

A wild white flag lap at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course earned Michael Carter (No. 08 Carter Racing Enterprises) his first-ever Global Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich® Tires win on Saturday. Carter narrowly beat Robert Noaker (No. 13 Copeland Motorsports) and Gresham Wagner (No. 5 Spark Performance) to the finish line.

After a heartbreaking doubleheader at Indianapolis Motor Speedway last week, Gresham Wagner (No. 5 Spark Performance) proved he was meant to be at the front of the Global Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich® Tires field on Saturday. Wagner lead every lap in Round Five at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course to take the win, followed by Michael Carter (No. 08 Carter Racing Enterprises) and Robert Noaker (No. 13 Copeland Motorsports).

Gresham Wagner topped every Global Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich® Tires session at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on Friday. His fast form continued in the afternoon qualifying session, where he broke his own lap record to win the pole position for Saturday’s Round Five race. He will share the front row with Michael Carter.

A mere week after racing on the hallowed grounds of Indianapolis Motor Speedway, teams of the Battery Tender® Global Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich® Tires are back in action for Rounds Five and Six at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course this weekend.
