Frankie Barroso is set to join Spark Performance for the season opener at Daytona, and for the rest of the 2026 Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup presented Michelin season.

Continuing their driver confirmations, JTR Motorsports is pleased to announce that John Salerno will step into the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup Presented by BFGoodrich championship for the 2026 season. Piloting the #34 JTR Motorsports entry, Salerno makes the move from the highly competitive Spec Miata ranks to the national stage.

JTR Motorsports continues to add to its 2026 driver lineup with the addition of Chris Hutter. Added to the team’s squad for the 2026 Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup season opener at Daytona International Speedway, Hutter brings experience from the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America series to the high banks of Daytona and the ultra-competitive Mazda MX-5 Cup program.

Woody Heimann, a synonymous name with JTR Motorsports, will return to the team for a sixth consecutive season in 2026, continuing a long-standing partnership in the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup championship. Heimann will compete behind the wheel of the #82 JTR Motorsports–prepared Mazda as he looks ahead to a full and competitive 2026 campaign.

JTR Motorsports is pleased to announce that 18-year-old Justin Gravett is now confirmed for their 2026 Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup campaign. With the season opening later this month at Daytona International Speedway, Gravett will drive the #8 Tunnel to Towers entry and will also receive support from additional partnership programs.
