Driving the #26 JTR Motorsports entry, Atwater will join a strong JTR driver lineup as he and the team prepare for another highly competitive year in North America’s premier spec sports car championship.

The perks of being a Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by Michelin Champion expand well past the prize money. The 2025 champion, Jeremy Fletcher, will experience this behind the wheel of the 1991 Mazda RX-7 GTO from the Mazda Heritage Collection in the HSR IMSA Classic at Daytona International Speedway.

JTR Motorsports is pleased to confirm that Chris Allen will make his Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup debut with the team, driving the #46 JTR Motorsports–prepared Mazda in one of North America’s most competitive single-make racing series. With a history of success in motorsports, Allen is looking to add some hardware to his trophy case in 2026.
