Continuing to add to their driver lineup for the 2022 season, Hixon Motor Sports (HMS) is pleased to welcome Dante Tornello to the squad. Set to drive in the #27 Karts4Kids HMS entry, Tornello is confirmed for the complete 2022 Idemitsu Mazda MX-5 Cup Presented by BFGoodrich® Tires (MX-5 Cup) season and will make his MX-5 Cup series debut in January at the famed Daytona International Speedway.

The reigning Idemitsu Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich® Tires Team Champion, Spark Performance, is back with champion driver Gresham Wagner and expands with two more entries. Added to the Spark Performance lineup are 2020 MX-5 Cup $110,000 Shootout Winner Aaron Jeansonne and series veteran Alex Bachoura.

Noted as one of the drivers to beat headed into the 2022 Idemitsu Mazda MX-5 Cup Presented by BFGoodrich® Tires (MX-5 Cup) season, Selin Rollan has committed his talents to Hixon Motor Sports (HMS) in his quest for the series title. Marking his fifth season in the program, this will be Rollan’s second year with the HMS Team as he has his sights firmly set on the top step of the podium and at the end of the season championship.

Sam Paley, the 2021 Idemitsu Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich® Tires Rookie of the Year, will again pilot the #28 McCumbee McAleer entry. The Villa Hills, Kentucky native and Indiana University Sophomore will return to MMR for his second run at the MX-5 Cup Championship. Paley is viewed as one of the country’s bright young racing talents. The former karting champ and open-wheel driver will continue his transformation into sports car racing in the ultra-competitive MX-5 Cup Series.
