(22 June 2017) –  Battery Tender Global MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich Tires rookie driver Matt Cresci turned a setback into a massive advantage on Thursday as he scored pole position at Road America with a fast lap flyer of 2:43.7317-seconds. The qualifying session set the field for Rounds 5 & 6 of the 2017 championship, which is being staged as part of the Verizon IndyCar Series event weekend at the fabled Wisconsin circuit. After an electronics issue early in the qualifying session sent him to the pits, the young driver from San Jose, California decided to try slick BFGoodrich Tires on the rapidly drying circuit. It worked.

(20 June 2017) - Moving from one iconic North American race track to the next in the space of a week, this weekend will see the drivers and teams in the Battery Tender Global MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich Tires head to Road America for Rounds 5 & 6 of the 2017 championship.  The double-header Global MX-5 Cup event will be staged as part of the Verizon IndyCar Series race weekend. The 4-mile natural terrain circuit in Wisconsin is one that has long been a driver favorite and promises yet another competitive event for the closely matched Global MX-5 Cup field.

Indianapolis, Ind. (17 June 2017) –  Racing on a warm midwestern summer day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the drivers in the Battery Tender Global MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich Tires impressed with a hard fought race on Saturday that featured another close finish. There were battles all the way through the field with more than 240 on-track passes in the 45-minute race.  Impressively it was a green flag run from start to checkers, starting on a wet track, a great case study of the capabilities of the BFGoodrich Tires.

Indianapolis, Ind. (16 June 2017) – After 45 minutes of flat out Battery Tender Global MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich Tires racing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the difference between getting the chance to kiss the bricks and missing out came down to just 0.0632-seconds. Series rookie Robert Stout (No. 28 Lucas Oil Products/Lucas Oil Racing TV/SC Fuels McCumbee McAleer Racing) scored the razor thin win ahead of his teammate Patrick Gallagher (No. 29 Howard Pumping McCumbee McAleer Racing).
