With the growth of the series heading into Daytona growing by the day, all teams are preparing for a fight in hopes of being in top spots. It is crucial for each team to have structure and most importantly,  confidence, during the 2021 Mazda MX5-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich® Tires season. Spark Performance and Provision Motorsports is teaming up to take on the 2021 MX-5 Cup season, all while being under the same tent but ensuring the end goal is the same for both racing teams.

Gresham Wagner, a strong series competitor in 2020, faced hurdles last year but is now ready to take on the 2021 season in full force, but as we know teammates are crucial in having a successful season.

“I’m really looking forward to being back with Sparky and to have another shot at MX-5 Cup this year. We had everything right last year except for some bad luck, but still came away with wins, podiums, and poles. We can build on that this year, and it is going to be a ton of fun working alongside Drake [Kemper] and Aaron [Jeansonne]. I have been teammates with Drake in the past and know he is fast and reliable, and I am sure Aaron will be up to speed as soon as we get on track at Daytona. I know with Spark Performance and Provision Motorsports we can put that all together to have a successful 2021,” Gresham Stated.

Sparky is no stranger on being a winner, while winning the championship in 2016 along with multiple invitationals throughout the series. At this time, Sparky is now taking a step back from racing and instead becoming team owner and head crew-chief of Spark Performance, he now puts his time and energy into Gresham in hope that he has the same success that he had during his racing career. During Sparky’s reign in MX-5 Cup, he ran under Sick Sideways tent with familiar face and head crew chief of Provision Motorsports’ Brad Little.

“I believe the camaraderie that Sparky and I had at Sick Sideways and knowledge of racing will propel our drivers into victory,” stated Little.

Provision Motorsports and Sparks Performance will be in Daytona drivers Aaron Jeansonne, Drake Kemper, and Gresham Wagner and will be supported by Brad Sikorsky, Jeremiah Wennermark, Brad Little and Nathanial Sparks.
