January 13, 2021 - Provision is based out of Bakersfield, CA and owned by ex-series competitor, Brooks Leal, and ran by familiar Mazda MX-5 Cup Crew Chief, Brad Little, will complete their driver lineup with the signing of Jeansonne.

Jeansonne will be piloting the Soul Red number 24 car and will be competing in his first Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich® Tires event on January 27 – 29 at Daytona, but he is no stranger to top racing competition. The 22-year-old quickly built a strong resume in the open wheel scene after one year of local dirt oval karting in south Louisiana where he claimed 2nd in the 2017 Lucas Oil Race Series. Jeansonne then went on to win the 2017 Team USA Scholarship, which awarded him the opportunity to race in two of the world’s largest Formula Ford races.

After gaining experience in several open wheel cars over the next couple years, Jeansonne made the switch to sports cars mid-season in 2019. Upon instant success, he was chosen as a finalist in the 2019 MX-5 Cup Shootout where he was runner-up. In 2020, Jeansonne was the Spec MX-5 Invitational Champion and Emerging Talent award recipient, which resulted in advancing to the MX-5 Cup Shootout.

After winning the shootout, Provision Motorsports had a productive and successful testing with Jeansonne and Drake Kemper, which gave the team confidence that the duo will be successful in the 2021 season.

Brooks Leal stated, “As we set our sights on the 2021 race season, even with a short off season, we wanted to ensure Aaron would feel like he is automatically part of the Provision family, being that we are such a close-knit team. The Provision Team is ecstatic to have Aaron run the Soul Red Mazda that will be displayed under the Provision tent come race day.”

When asking Jeansonne how he feels about the 2021 season he said, “With such a short off-season, I had a lot of pressure to choose the best team possible to make the most of my Mazda Scholarship and this huge opportunity. I have been on a team with Brad before and we have always had great chemistry and that rang true when testing, because it could have not gone better. The Provision team and car were extremely impressive and combined with top the notch crew along with teammate, Drake Kemper, I will have the resources to hopefully have a shot at Rookie of the Year.”
