Supply, North Carolina – McCumbee McAleer Racing (MMR) proudly announces the latest addition to its stellar roster for the 2024 Mazda MX-5 Cup season with the signing of the accomplished 26-year-old race car driver and 2021 Champion, Gresham Wagner. Hailing from Newport News, Virginia, Wagner joins MMR to pilot the #5 entry, amplifying the team's pursuit of racing excellence.

Expressing his excitement about the upcoming season, Gresham Wagner shared, "I am very excited about the opportunity to join MMR and come back for another season of Mazda MX-5 Cup. The upcoming season will be my sixth year in the series, and MMR have always been an extremely professional team who consistently put fast cars on the track."

As a seasoned driver with a remarkable track record, Wagner's enthusiasm for joining forces with MMR is palpable. "As I've become more familiar with the team, I know that we will make a great pairing to be able to make an instant impact in 2024. I'm confident that we will be able to hit the track with lots of speed, and I'm just looking forward to getting to start working with all of my teammates and crew at MMR," Wagner added.

Boasting an impressive history in the MX-5 Cup series with 10 wins and 28 podium finishes, Wagner's expertise behind the wheel is expected to bring a new dimension to MMR.

The 2024 Mazda MX-5 Cup is set to kick off at the Daytona International Speedway Road Course from January 24–26. This thrilling event will navigate through a 12-turn, 3.56-mile track, promising exhilarating racing action right from the start.
